 Military Order of the Devil Dogs’ most Prestigious Award!

Qualifications and/or Eligibility

A Candidate from the Pound shall be a PEDIGREED DEVIL DOG or a DEVIL DOG and must be in good standing in that Pound. A proposed Candidate shall be a Devil Dog of integrity, principles and who has contributed to the Military Order of Devil Dogs who has rendered service(s) and performed a deed(s) above and beyond the duties and obligations required of a member of the MODD.

Letters recommending this candidate for Pack Dog of the Year shall originate only at the POUND LEVEL. No individual member (s) of the Military Order of Devil Dogs, nor any other organization such as the Marine Corps League shall submit a letter of nomination other than the Candidate’s Pound. Note: Each nomination shall be signed by the Pound Keeper & Pound Dog Robber.

Only Officers and/or members of the Pound submitting the Letter of Nomination shall be allowed to submit documentary proof, and / or affidavits on behalf of the Candidate they are submitting.

All letters of nomination shall be type written on 8 ½" X 11" white bond paper (Pound letter head if available) and submitted to the current Pack Devil Dog of the Year (see address below) in a sealed envelope. Only one nomination per letter! All nominations must be received no later than May 1 preceding the Grand Growl of the Pack early June. Any received after that date will not be considered.

Note: In order for this Candidate to be nominated for "Kennel Dog of the Year" this same procedure must be followed and nomination received by "Chairman, Kennel Dog of the Year Committee (current year" c/o Honorable Dog Robber 2 weeks prior to Supreme Growl).

Any meritorious deed(s) so identified as being within the scope of these rules shall be of such substance that the weight will or shall have brought acclaim and prestige to the Military Order of Devil Dogs, inc.; or has enhanced and/or furthered the concepts of the duties of being a citizen of the United States of America; or has been a deed(s) of courage or valor without regard for his / her own safety.
