Department of Louisiana Convention Rules
The Auxiliary asks that the Department appoint an Auxiliary member as a liaison between the League and the Auxiliary. This is needed since there are some Detachments without an Auxiliary Unit which makes it very difficult for conventions.
1. There will be no smoking in the hospitality room and the surrounding areas. You must post signs.
2. No smoking in the Banquet room.
3. No liquor to be served in the hospitality room when meetings are in session.
4. The hosting Detachment and the Department are the only ones allowed to have a raffle. All others must get permission from the hosting Detachment.
5. The Department Commandant and the Department Auxiliary President are to be furnished lodging for 2 days of the Convention and complementary banquet tickets. (One for each, the President and Commandant and their spouse, friend, or date)
6. As a courtesy, arrange to have the Commandant’s and Auxiliary President’s room ready when they arrive early on Friday.
7. At the banquet, NO HEAD TABLE All MCL Officers, Auxiliary Officers and Honored guests are to be seated at tables in front and near the Podium.
8. All expenses for special guest invited by the hosting Detachment are the responsibility of that hosting Detachment.
9. All expenses for special guest invited by the Department are the responsibility of the Department.
10. All registration fees for Auxiliary members are to be paid to the State Auxiliary President.
11. The Auxiliary hosting Unit must have members to help with registration. If there is no hosting Auxiliary Unit, the liaison person will contact the hosting Detachment for information and also contact the hosting Detachment for information and also advise him or her of her plans for the Convention.
12. The Southeast Division Commandant and Southeast Division President are to be given complementary rooms and banquet tickets.
