            How to wear the new Marine of the Year Medallion and Ribbon for Detachments, Departments & Division.

                        Note: No Medallion for National Marine of the Year.                                   

*  Medallion is to be worn only with Formal Uniform (White pleated shirt with gold cuff links (u36b - $10.00) and studs (u35 - $10.00), Black Bow tie (u47 / u30 - $6.00), Red Blazer w/(2) large MCL buttons (u15 - $1.00 ea) on front and (3) small MCL buttons (u16 - $0.75 ea) on each sleeve cuff + miniature medals and MCL Crest or Bullion seal or Mess Jacket w/MCL buttons – gold waist chain and sunbursts + Large medals, Cummerbund (u27 - $12.75) or gold Vest front (u37 - $45.00), black tux trousers w/ black web belt w/marine Corps emblem on square gold buckle). Cummerbund, Vest, Cuff Links and Studs are available from National QM supply.
            A – Do not wear when wearing Dog Collar (Black or Red or Gold) - only one collar can be worn.
            B – Do not wear with Undress Uniform (white short sleeve or long sleeve shirts w/ sunbursts, dress blue trousers   with red stripe or black trousers w/o cuffs - No Blazer)
            C – Do not wear with Casual Uniform (White shirt with two pockets with button down flaps and epaulets, black tie with gold USMC or MCL tie bar, black trousers no cuffs, black belt with gold buckle, Red Blazer with Crest or bullion no medals or ribbons or name plate. Only two lapel pins on left lapel, see manual, NO PINS of any kind on right lapel).

·        MOY Ribbon can be worn as can any ribbon (in order of precedence).

·        Note: Some of the redundant items are not mentioned because everyone understands their requirements, if not, information can be given on request.  Our Department may be lenient in this – however whenever being photographed for newspaper or national publication these rules must be followed.
